Insurance accepted. My office accepts all Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, and Cigna, BEGIN (formerly CAM PPO), Aetna, Coventry plans. If you do not see your plan listed, please call the office.

Please note that some plans will cover treatment with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Some insurance may cover an athlete’s and performer’s mental skills training and anxiety coaching depending on skills to be learned. Feel free to contact Jeff if you have questions regarding performance coaching and insurance coverage.

Referrals. Some plans require prior authorization before treatment is commenced. This means that you must contact your insurance plan and request prior approval. The phone number to your plan’s member services department should be located on your insurance card. The insurance company will require a brief reason for why you are seeking treatment and then, if approved, will give you an authorization number. Or they may ask you to have the therapist call, which Jeff will be happy to do.

Fees. With insurance, your fee or co-payment can be anywhere from $15-$40 per session, depending on your plan. For some insurances, the portion for which the patient is responsible may be what is listed as the “Specialist” co-payment. Co-payment is due at the time of service.
